« I think people make the best things when they love the process, when they willingly shoulder the inherent uncertainty and pain that comes with it. ». We tend to see only the result, when, what we should take care of is the process. Are you inclined to do and enjoy what it takes to get the results?
‘’You can get a million small things wrong, but as long as you get one meaningful thing right, you’ll be okay.’’ Those words feel so true to me. But, why do we so often have the feeling that we need to do more when we can do better? Why can’t we stick to one single thing even when it feels like it’s the right thing to do? Maybe a combination of internal resistance, reactance, unrealistic expectations, finding excuses, fear to fail, lack of persistence, risk perception, stress management or perfectionism. In any case, what you need to remind yourself first is to commit to one thing. Yes, our mind is good at making it hard for us to focus on one thing, but the truth is that it’s the only thing our brain is really able to do anyway! From tasks, projects, missions to visions, committing to one thing is the only way to move forward efficiently. Don’t let those parasite thoughts stop you from taking the obvious/meaningful commitment, do yourself a favor.
