Our attention is money. Some people earn money to build systems that allow other people to get paid for the amount of attention they are able to get. This leads to an insane scramble for attention that is becoming very unhealthy because you’ll never have enough of it. Worse, if your creativity is driven by the desire to get attention you have much more chance to be unhappy. In his Ted Talk, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, smartly underlines this risk and points out a simple solution: paying more attention. In fact, some studies claim that focusing our attention on one single thing can help us to be more happy. It’s called the Flow.
